Bette Midler, who has set up digs in Vegas for her "The Showgirl Must Go On"revue is getting ready for her annual Hulaween party, October 31st. As part of her New York Restoration Project (which she founded in 1995), Bette hosts the gala to raise awareness and funds to help in the mission of planting trees and taking care of the 57 community gardens--precious commodity in the urbanscape of New York City--they've helped to restore and conserve. So far the NYRP has removed over 875 tons of garbage and debris - cars, construction
materials, garbage, litter, and 3,000 tires - from project sites.
