Justin Timberlake's Eco-Golf Course

Of all the bad moves Britney Spears has made, don't you think one of the worst had to be cheating on boyfriend Justin Timberlake? He would steered that ship full of crazy on the straight and narrow course. But no, Brit Brit had to do it her way. Too bad because  J Tizzle couldn't be any cuter if he tried (just ask Jessica Biel) and adding to his appeal, he apparently has skills on the links too. This golf lover has decided to open an eco-friendly course called Miramichi Lakes in his home state of Tennessee. He rescued a course that was up for auction to be turned into a development. JT thought the course meant too much to the community (it did to him; it was where his father first taught him to hit a ball.) so he picked up the 303-acre course which will be built to the highest LEED-certified green building standards possible.

Additionally, golfers and their guests will have a chance to learn about natural resource usage and responsible energy on a walking trail lined with educational placards.

Here's a quote about it all from Timberlake's interview this week with PGATOUR.com:

"If I can rewind a little bit, my dad did try to get me into golf when I was 10, and I obviously didn't have the attention span for it. But it was the first place. It was a course called Big Creek. Originally it was called Woodstock Hills, and it was the first place my dad taught me to hit a ball. And last year we found out they were going to auction it off and turn it into a development. So we thought it was such a landmark for the community, we'd scoop it and save it. And we did. We were able to before it was auctioned off. After we had the golf course we said why don't we refurbish it and make it even nicer for the community. Then I asked questions about what we could possibly do, and we found out we could actually make it a "green course." So when it's finished this summer it will be a Platinum LEED certified green course. The first in the United States of America, so that's pretty exciting that you could take all that land and make it eco-friendly."
