October in San Francisco -- it’s the month that every local lives for. Sunny, warm days where we can actually wear skirts or short sleeves without fear of Karl the Fog creeping in. We can enjoy outside seating where we can sip cold beers and Rose and for a few days, complain about getting sunburns or the serious lack of AC in the city.
As this magical month winds down, we thought, what better way to send off San Francisco’s Indian Summer than with oysters paired with a crisp white wine -- all without leaving the comfort of your home, office, or that perfect picnic spot in Dolores Park.
For those of you familiar with Sprig’s Guest Chef Series, in honor of this month, we thought we’d take a new twist on our guest chef service: together with one of the most renowned seafood restaurants in San Francisco -- the iconic Waterbar -- Sprig is bringing you a variety of fresh oysters from the West Coast and beyond with the perfect pairing of Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc + Viognier -- all on-demand.
During our regular lunch service from 11:30am - 2:00pm on Thursday, October 23rd, one lucky customer can order oysters along with a case of Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc + Viognier wine from their mobile phone to be delivered anywhere in the city. Executive Chef Parke from Waterbar and Executive Chef Nate from Sprig will arrive with everything you need to send-off summer and will serve you and your friends a beautiful variety of fresh oysters shucked right at the table (or your desk) paired with a perfect crisp white wine -- and if you’re still hungry, some Sprig lunches to round it out. We'll also bring tablecloths, plates, glasses and utensils because we're fancy like that.
How can you get it? Just as you would order any Sprig meal -- on your iOS or Android device! We will have enough food and wine to serve 25 people -- so get a group together, treat your office or if you’re really hungry, enjoy it solo. But move quickly, because we will only be offering one service priced at $800 (or $32 p/p).
